It gives me immense pleasure to present before you the Annual Report of the Academic Session-2014-15. Looking at this august audience, I am prompted to think that even in this distant corner of our great land India, functions are held with the same passion and gusto as they are held at the heart of the Republic of India. I salute the martyrs, patriots and architects of this glorious nation and my heart goes out to all of them for making this possible….

Sir, each Kendriya Vidyalaya is a hub of vibrant activity. To turn out individuals with multifaceted skills, the Vidyalaya has to plan and execute specialized programs, reaching out to all its stake holders. I feel that the Vidyalaya is a miniature world of sorts, and hence it has to zip a series of programs in the course of a single academic session to make it whole…..

THE VIDYALAYA STAFF

The Vidyalaya can boast of a team of quality dedicated staff, capable of guiding and leading each individual student. On permanent roll we have a total of 19 teachers and 01 sub staff. Apart from these, sanctioned posts are also supplemented by 10 contractual teachers. I express my heart felt gratitude on behalf of all the beneficiaries of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naliya, to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, for replenishing the staff strength every year and appointing regular teachers on a prompt basis.  As the posts of LDC & UDC are also vacant. I also thank Mrs. Meena Rawat, President AFWWA (L) for her unrelenting support in the welfare of the students of the Vidyalaya.

ACADEMICS-EXTERNAL EXAMINATION

Academics are the main stay of any educational institution. I can report with a sense of great fulfillment that the Vidyalaya brought out excellent results in the CBSE conducted examinations in the Academic Session 2014-15, in quantity and quality. In Class X, our school pegged a P.I of 67 or more in every individual subject. There were a total of 10 A1 grades in Mathematics, Science and Social Science and 05 students who secured the rare 10 C.G.P.A. They have been disbursed Rs. 5000 each, which is an incentive from the KVS for their outstanding achievement.

In Class XII Board-conducted examination, the Vidyalaya pegged 100% in Science. Although there were two failures in the Humanities stream, it was well compensated by extraordinary achievements, first time in the history of the Vidyalaya. Miss Ujjwal Yadav was one of the national toppers in Political Science and was given a cash award of Rs. 5000 by the KVS. Among the 20 toppers in Humanities from the Ahmedabad Region, 08 were only from KV AFS Naliya.

I express my sincere appreciation to all the students who appeared in the CBSE examinations 2012-13 for keeping distractions away and putting their heads to work. I also thank all the teachers, individual by individual, for working zealously and ceaselessly to record this phenomenal achievement. It gives me immense satisfaction to note that many pass-outs from this Vidyalaya are pursuing different professional courses across the length and breadth of this country.  May God speed them. I also make this assurance on behalf of the students and staff that the output this year as well will be a worthy and laudable one.

I would like to bring this report to culmination with a tribute to a little champion…

Take my hand dear child…..
Let me take you around the school…..
There is nothing here to be feared…
Only things to wonder and ponder….
I was also a child like you….
Hence I always smile….
When you murmur in the music class….
And sprinkle a naughty dust where ever you go…
Stay in the primary class…
For a hundred days…
Than conquer this world….
And rule it for a million years….
JAI HIND
